Pipeline Biotech is a pharmacological contract research organisation
with the capacity to combine advanced molecular biology with
pre-clinical research. Our primary objective is to feed
pharmacological companies with knowledge acquired from focused
research studies aimed at drug discovery and early drug development.
As we possess the know-how, the competencies, the laboratory
facilities and the experience needed to design and carry out special
research programmes, we are able to conduct research and carry out
most of the laboratory animal experiments required to identify and
prove the concept of new lead candidates.

clients. We are adept at carrying out experimental, analytical and
preparative assignments. The tasks we perform may be part of an
extensive research programme, they may require mass routine
screenings, or they may constitute single cases in their own right.
No two assignments are exactly the same – nor can they be studied
the same way.

Therefore, unlike most research companies we do more than “simply”
supply standard services – we design our research programmes to meet
our customers’ needs exactly, tailoring them to match the specific
research or development project in question precisely.
 Laboratory
expertise
Our
laboratories are designed and approved for experimental animal
research, cell biology and molecular biology. Lab animals can be
housed at different levels of barrier protection: from germ-free
isolator units and laminar flow units to SPF barrier units.
Naturally, only tested and approved procedures are used, and all
animal studies are performed by highly trained staff under
veterinary supervision. We always maintain full control of our
techniques and the environmental factors that relate to the quality
of the animals, their care and the experiments for which they are
used.
Quality assurance and GLP
Studies must comply with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice
(GLP) in order to reach the official “quality” level. Few clients
need GLP in the earliest phases of drug discovery, but for those who
do, we have implemented a quality assurance programme that follows
the OECD principles of GLP. Pipeline Biotech has been GLP compliant since 2003. Our clients are international pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies and the studies are Pharmacokinetic and toxicological. |
